The Oyster South Symposium brings together producers, gear suppliers, distributors, chefs, food writers, vendors, researchers, students and managers from the southeast and Gulf coast regions to discuss pressing issues and relevant, practical research on oyster aquaculture.
Over several days, the Symposium creates space for practical learning and real-world problem-solving, spotlighting the latest science, farming techniques, market insights, and policy updates that shape oyster aquaculture in the South. Alongside talks and panels, participants connect through hands-on discussions, a vibrant trade show, and community events that celebrate the people, waters, and cultures behind Southern oysters.
The result is a uniquely collaborative meeting designed to strengthen growers, support coastal communities, and chart the future of the industry together.
Location
This year, the 9th annual Oyster South Symposium will be held in Houston, Texas—bringing together growers, chefs, researchers, suppliers, and supporters for several days of learning, connection, and celebration at the heart of the Gulf region.
Tickets
Registration includes all talks and panels, the trade show, the Director’s Reception, and the Shuck & Tell celebration. Current Oyster South members receive discounted tickets, and new members are welcome to join at checkout.
