Chef Ambassador Program
Oyster South will provide Ambassadors with best practices and collateral to make local community engagement an easy, low-lift endeavor for hospitality partners. The program is intended to be a symbiotic relationship for Oyster South and its supporters.
Oyster South’s Chef Ambassador Program brings together chefs, restaurants, and hospitality teams who are passionate about Southern farmed oysters and the people who raise them. Ambassadors support the mission in ways that fit their kitchens and communities—whether through oyster features, raw bar takeovers, ticketed events, staff trainings, or educational storytelling that highlights growers and Gulf waters.
The program offers flexible, low-lift ways for partners to get involved while creating meaningful connections between chefs and farmers. Ambassadors gain direct access to growers, learning about farming methods, seasonal nuances, and the environmental value of aquaculture. In turn, their advocacy helps strengthen markets, broaden public understanding, and celebrate the culture surrounding Southern oysters.
Together, this network of culinary leaders helps elevate Southern aquaculture, nurture community, and ensure more people experience the quality and diversity of oysters grown across the region.

How does it work?
A tiered membership, with low-lift opportunities for the extended OS family to activate and engage clientele, to support the goals of the organization.
An opportunity for OS to extend tentacles into various areas of the Southeast (and/or nationwide) to expand reach, increase community engagement, and activate easily replicable fundraisers at establishments outside of Decatur, and symposiums sites, using existing culinary network
