CHEFS’ GUIDE TO LANDLOCKED 10

Landlocked 10 is Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Legacy Park in Decatur — our 10th anniversary, and we're so glad you're cooking with us. Same 3–7 PM format, with more chefs, more farms and more music than ever. Everything you need is below. Questions? Reach out anytime to our Events Lead, Brooke Rasheed: brooke@oystersouth.com or 470.270.0274.

NEW TO LANDLOCKED?

Check out the photos from past years to get an idea of how it goes down.

TRAVELING FROM OUT OF TOWN?

Refrigerated storage

A reefer truck will be provided onsite courtesy of our friends at Evans Meats & Seafood. The truck will be parked at Legacy Park starting Saturday morning @ 9AM if you need to drop off and store anything. Label everything with your name/restaurant.

Please note: We cannot accommodate special oyster requests. You can source your own oysters, but you'll be responsible for shucking and storing them. If using the refrigerated truck, LABEL the oysters clearly with your restaurant/chef name to avoid mixing.

LODGING

We have a hotel room booked for our out-of-towners on Saturday 10/17 and Sunday 10/18 at the The Courtyard by Marriott (130 Clairemont Ave), located just a short distance from the event site. If you haven't received your confirmation directly from the hotel, please check your Other/SPAM folders, and reach out directly to: Brittany.Williams@aimbridge.com. Decatur hotels (all two of them) are completely full that weekend – if you need additional space, we encourage you to look at AirBnb.

YOUR DISH

Pairings. Bryan sent your team assignment on Sept 4 — we've paired each of you with a chef. You can create your own dish or collaborate — totally up to you. Each team shares one Large Big Green Egg, so coordinate with your teammate to lighten the load. Need contact info for your teammate? Just ask. We love playing matchmaker!

How many portions? There will be about 1,500 attendees on site. Not every guest needs to get your dish, but shoot for 600 - 700 portions if possible.

What's the budget? We've never had a strict one. We want your dish to be a good representative of the work you do — just keep in mind that this is a fundraiser. Beef costs are brutal right now, so maybe skip the dino ribs. And if you slather brisket with caviar, uni and gold leaf, we'll likely get some concerned looks from the board.

Ordering and reimbursement. Two options:

1.     Order through Evans Meats & Seafood. If you already use Evans, order directly and tell them it's for Landlocked — they'll bill Oyster South.

2.     Buy from whoever you prefer. Restaurant Depot, Costco, the grocery store — wherever. Send me your invoices or receipts and we'll reimburse you.

Oysters

We can't accommodate special oyster requests from the festival supply. You're welcome to source your own — just know what that involves:

•      Label everything. Mark your oysters clearly with your name/restaurant so they don't get mixed in with festival product.

•      They're kept separate. Your oysters will be stored apart from everything else on a very active reefer truck.

•      We work with a mix of pro & volunteer shuckers. You’re welcome to also shuck your own to ensure quality.

WEEKEND parties

SATURDAY NIGHT WELCOME RECEPTION AT BRICKSTORE PUB

Join us for a reception Saturday, October 17th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Brickstore Pub on the Decatur Square (125 E Court Square, Decatur, GA 30030). These good friends have offered the use of their lovely backyard for us for the evening. Street parking is available and free after 6PM, but we encourage rideshare. Sponsored by Toast, The Press Shop, and Studio Wythe. After the reception, plan to hit up one of the many Landlocked featured restaurants in and around Decatur, like Kimball House, The Deer & Dove, Fawn, Chai Pani, and No. 246! Reservations highly recommended.

SATURDAY NIGHT: electroshuck AT COMMUNE ️

After dinner head over to Commune (6 Olive St #113, Avondale Estates, GA 30002) for an Everglades Oysters takeover with Tropical oysters and cocktail specials. After the event wraps, you're invited to join us at Gene's (2371 Hosea L Williams Drive, Atlanta, GA, 30317) for an official Landlocked 10 After Party sponsored by OpenTable. Jello shots, a DJ, and a few surprises to celebrate all your hard work. No RSVP necessary.
