OYSTER SOUTH SYMPOSIUM
Oyster South Symposium is a gathering that brings together producers, gear suppliers, distributors, chefs, food writers, vendors, researchers, students, and resource managers from the Southeast and Gulf Coast regions to explore pressing issues and practical, relevant research in oyster aquaculture. (And yes, we welcome all y’all, wherever you’re from.)
Location
The Oyster South Symposium rotates between the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, reflecting the diverse communities and waters that shape our region’s oyster aquaculture industry. Each year, we gather in a host city along one of these Southern coasts.
The Symposium typically begins with a welcome reception on the first evening, followed by two full days of talks, panels, and a trade show. We close the gathering with our celebratory Shuck & Tell.
Optional tours are often offered in conjunction with the Symposium, generally scheduled before or alongside the opening events. Participants are encouraged to plan travel accordingly to take full advantage of programming and social gatherings.
Venue details, hotel information, and booking links will be shared once the host city is announced.
Please note that participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the Symposium, as well as to any affiliated events or tours.
