NEW TO LANDLOCKED?

Check out the photos from last year to get an idea of how it goes down.

TRAVELING FROM OUT OF TOWN?

Our reefer truck will be provided courtesy of our friends at Evans Meats & Seafood. The truck will be parked at Legacy Park starting Saturday morning @ 9AM for dropping off product. Please make sure everything is bagged, tagged, and labeled. If you’re providing oysters for a specific chef, LABEL the oysters clearly with the restaurant/chef name to avoid mixing.

LODGING:

We have a hotel room booked for you on Saturday 10/18 and Sunday 10/19 at the The Courtyard by Marriott (130 Clairemont Ave), located just a short distance from the event site. If you haven't received your confirmation directly from the hotel, please check your Other/SPAM folders, and reach out directly to: Brittany.Williams@aimbridge.com

You can pull up right in front of the event entrance for load-in. When you arrive, go FIRST to the FARMER CHECK-IN TENT so we know you’re here, and we’ll show you to your table, and let our runners know to pull your oysters off the truck for you. After unloading your vehicle, please plan to move it out of the area quickly for others to load-in.  Our volunteers onsite will be stationed at the front and in the parking lot with carts to help you unload, and to direct you to the right places. DUE TO ONGOING CONSTRUCTION AT LEGACY PARK, NO VENDORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK ONSITE THIS YEAR. YOU MUST MOVE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE COLUMBIA SEMINARY LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET. PLEASE ALLOW FOR ENOUGH TIME TO ARRIVE, GET LOADED IN, AND TO DROP YOUR VEHICLE ACROSS THE STREET.

You bring:

  • Your own branding, table covers, oyster bins, displays, etc if you’d like - we want you to do it up!!!! Just note that you’ll be outside in a tent, with no walls to hang anything on, so signage should be affixed to your table, hanging from tent or freestanding.

  • Your own condiments (optional)

  • A cooler - this is a must for transporting your oysters from the Evans truck to your table

**PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL NEEDS. If you have questions about the site plan, signage, etc. just let us know!**

PACING

We’re expecting about 1,200 people onsite, including tickets sold, chefs, sponsors, and volunteers. Those of you near the entrance tend to get cleaned out fast, so try to pace yourselves so you’re not out of product before 5:30pm. We suggest: 200 in first hour / 2 bags each. At 3:45pm, knives down and go get a drink to get ready for General Admission doors at 4pm.  Most years we’ve been out of food before 6pm, so chefs and farmers can get away from their tables & enjoy a drink and the scene.

GROUP PHOTO

We’ll be gathering for our annual group photo with all farmers, chefs, and Oyster South team around 2:15pm. Don’t miss it!

SHELL RECYLING

Shell 2 Shore will be onsite again this year collecting shells and talking to folks about oyster shell recycling. Attendees will be prompted to toss their used empty into blue shell recycling located throughout the event site.

LOAD-OUT

Please just dump out your Lexan Bin (if provided), be sure all shells are placed in Shells Only receptacles and remove all personal belongings from your station. We will take care of breaking down tables, trash, etc. We cannot store anything overnight for pick-up. All vendors must depart the park by 8:30pm.
