VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS
Please be early to your shift and ready to go!
Parking is limited and traffic is…well it’s Atlanta. Please give yourself some extra time and use a rideshare service if possible.
LL is Rain or Shine. Hats, sunglasses & sunscreen are recommended. Comfortable shoes are a must!
We expect a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility.
All volunteers must work their entire shift. We’re counting on you!
Be courteous, and helpful to patrons & other volunteers.
Volunteering at LL will be a blast but is also physical work. Volunteers must be physically able to stand for the majority of their shift and to work in unpredictable GA weather.

ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN FOR YOUR SHIFT
Volunteer check in will be located outside at the entrance to the Farmer Tent (red star on the map) at Legacy Park. See the image below.
When you check in for your shift you’ll receive a volunteer t-shirt and a nametag.
PARKING
We highly encourage ride sharing, especially if you’re going to have a few beers at the end of your shift.
Free parking will be available at the Columbia Theological Seminary, across the street from the entrance to Legacy Park. The parking lot is at the Seminary Library area; entrance on Inman Drive. Please note, parking is provided 'at risk' to vehicle owners. There is NO overnight parking; cars will be towed at the owner's expense.
WHEN YOUR SHIFT IS OVER
If you’re on the early bird set-up/shucking crew, when your shift ends, return to the tent to check out and receive your GA wristband. If you’re entering as a guest please remove/cover your Volunteer T-shirt, or you risk getting flagged down by one of us while you’re trying to enjoy a cocktail.
Early Bird / Setup: Work the morning shift, then enjoy the event from 4PM with your GA wristband.
Event Shift: You’ll work the full event through teardown — you’re the glue that holds it all together!
DRESS CODE
Casual! Check out the photos above for the vibe :) You’ll get a t-shirt. Jeans, shorts, etc are all good, just be sure to check the weather so you’re comfortable! Landlocked is rain or shine and happening entirely outside. Be sure to check the weather before you head to the site and dress accordingly! Please note: We have limited storage onsite, so we recommend bringing only essential items. Oyster South is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
GROUP PHOTO
We’ll be gathering for our annual group photo with all farmers, chefs, and Oyster South team around 2:15pm. Don’t miss it!
SHELL RECYCLING
Shell 2 Shore will be onsite again this year collecting shells and talking to folks about oyster shell recycling. Attendees will be prompted to toss their used empty into blue shell recycling located throughout the event site.
